French Connections
For 25 years, we travel the world selecting exceptional spirits for our Catalogue Creation, limited editions bottled exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. We use this time to visit up-and-coming distilleries and develop our relationships with leading distillers and retailers with the aim of uncovering the world’s greatest gems.
New products 2021
Scotch Whisky
Whether official versions or independent bottlings, this year our selection of Scottish whiskies is particularly eclectic.
Rum
With Caroni, Hampden and Neisson, but also Plantation, Bally, Enmore, New Grove or Savanna, without forgetting the Clairins and, above all, Providence - the very first pure single rum from the Port-au-Prince distillery, founded in Haiti by La Maison & Velier - all of the great rum terroirs and their iconic distilleries are represented in our 2021 Creation Catalogue.
Whisky of the world
The whiskies of the world category has never merited its name more. Karuizawa, Chichibu, Amrut, Kavalan, Hellyer's Road, Waterford and a lot more: mythical distilleries from all around the world are highlighted in our Catalogue Creation 2021.
Other spirits
The spirits in our 2021 Catalogue Creation also push the boundaries. To start, Arhumatic once again reinvents the world of rum punches. Moving into more traditional lands, legendary producer Christian Drouin is also on the menu with a superb 1980 calvados. Finally, four spirits have been exalted through cocktails recipes invented by talented bartenders.
LMDW Creations
From meticulous selection of whiskies to graphic interpretation from a promising artist, every Artist range is subject to intense reflection. This year, a range selected by the team of whisky.fr joins the LMDW Creations. Also, a range fully dedicated to French spirits has been created: 5 whiskies from France will be first presented.
Gifts
Gifts have always had an important place in La Maison du Whisky’s history. In the 1960s, the French drank little whisky. They did, on the other, enjoy offering gifts. Since then, things have changed considerably. Today, France probably has one of the highest numbers of single malt lovers in the world. Despite becoming masters in the art of tasting, however, the French still love gifting spirits as much as ever. And, more specifically, original gift sets.
